Read MoreCO2 Sensors designed for research
In addition to monitoring temperature and humidity, research involving cell culture – particularly stem cells – requires strict measurement of CO2.
To meet these specific needs, Dickson has developed CO2 sensors specially designed for research, and in particular for monitoring CO2 incubators. Connected to our Cobalt X Data Logger, they enable continuous measurement of CO2 as well as temperature and relative humidity, thus ensuring stable conditions and optimum control of the culture environment.
More than just CO2 sensors
Dickson’s Triple Smart-Sensor™ are much more than just CO2 sensors. Their versatility makes it possible to measure, with a single sensor, the 3 fundamental parameters in cell and microbe culture: temperature, hygrometry and CO2. The unique Smart-Sensor™ technology stores all calibration information directly in the on-board memory, including calibration correction coefficients (a/b or a/b/c), measurement uncertainty after calibration, drift after 1 year and sensor serial number.
Our calibration laboratories are NF EN ISO/IEC 17025 Malaysia Standards accredited, so you can be sure of the reliability of your measurements and therefore the compliance of your research environment.
The advantages of Dickson’s Triple Smart-Sensors
- Measures CO2, Temperature and Humidity using a single sensor.
- Calibration coefficients stored directly in the sensor’s memory.
- Allows ‘plug-and-play’ operation with no configuration required.
- When recalibrating, hot swap with a freshly calibrated sensor, ready for use, without data loss or downtime.
- All-digital technology for maximum consistency and reliability
- Adjustable reading frequency to ensure stable conditions
Connects to Cobalt X data loggers, no external power supply required
What’s more, our latest-generation Triple Smart-Sensor has a super-compact format, perfect for small incubators. Its flat cable allows it to pass through the incubator access port or behind the door seal without causing any excursion.
The challenge of measuring CO2
Colourless, odourless, inert, non-combustible and soluble in water, CO2 is a gas that is difficult to measure accurately and reliably. Yet its monitoring is required in research applications on cells and microbes, but also as part of in vitro fertilisation, in other areas of research (biomedical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological), as well as in sensitive environments such as cold storage facilities, food management and transport, fermentation, animal husbandry, ecological measurements, etc.
With over 10 years’ expertise in monitoring environmental parameters, we have developed reliable measurement solutions that comply with the most stringent regulations on the market. Connected to our Cobalt X Data Logger, our Temperature, Humidity and CO2 sensors are integrated into the OCEAView global monitoring solution, giving you access to essential functions to ensure that your crops grow with complete peace of mind.
Real-time alerts
Receive instant notifications when predefined limits are exceeded and alert the appropriate personnel to take action before CO2 levels or other indicators fall outside the required range. A range of alarm options can be used to prevent your incubator’s environmental parameters from going out of range.
Improved visibility
OCEAView’s intuitive dashboard gives you visibility of all data collected and stored securely on site or in the cloud. You can view and analyse the compliance of your sensitive environments remotely, on demand.
High accuracy and reliability
Ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data recorded thanks to our sensors that are traceable to the NF EN ISO/IEC 17025 Malaysia standard. Smart-Sensor™ technology makes recalibration as easy as changing a battery.
Automated Compliance Reporting
Meet strict monitoring standards and GxP requirements imposed by authorities and regulators. Automate daily reporting and quickly generate documents proving compliance, so you’re always audit-ready.
Scalability
Whether you’re monitoring a single incubator or an entire system, our incubator monitoring solution ensures consistent and efficient monitoring. You can view multiple incubators in different locations from a single interface, and grow your installation as you grow, without having to change software systems or measurement tools.
